The head of Montessori School of Denver was retiring after 18 years of dedicated service and advancement of the school. The school wanted to pay tribute to her accomplishments and hired my company, Ventuno design, to create a lasting tribute to her. The icons in the upper arch tell a story of the contributions made; 18 icons representing 18 years. The gate panels have icons as well that reveal a story and vision of the school. Donations are made to purchase the icons and the money goes to a sabbatical program for the staff of magnificent teachers.
Check-Six Adventures is a product line I developed to create an immersive play experience for children. It is time to get back to using our imagination.
Digitally printed cardboard that ships flat and easily folds into these transports with colorful, realistic graphics. Audio missions are available for download that contain character dialogue, sound effects and great storylines to fully immerse you into an exciting adventure.
Great attention to detail went into the design to promise a safe and sturdy product that would handle the rigors of play. Once the transport has made it through it’s last adventure it can be broken down and is 100% Recyclable.

Wonderful shapes. Removing the wheels and all of the bits and pieces of a car reveals the beauty of the shape. These "Little Bulls," are abstracts of some of the great V-12 exotics from Italy. The colors and shapes are meant to invoke emotion, passion and appreciation for design.
THE PROCESS: Once the five cars were chosen, prototypes were made out of wood using a band saw and various sanding and filing methods. The cars were then modeled in 3D software and 3D printed on a MakerBot Replicator 2. The prints were cleaned up to be ready for creating a mold and casting.
Final versions are soon to come and will be available for purchase!
Developed this off-center Union Jack out of aluminum bar. The smaller cross is polished aluminum and the larger cross is brushed aluminum. Nice custom piece to compliment a great restoration.

Design Thinking Workshops
I have been putting on Design Thinking Workshops since I learned about the process from my time at Stanford University. It is always a fun time, trying new things, gaining empathy and building something to put in the hands of the customer.
Design Thinking is a methodology that is human-centric. By building empathy and gaining an understanding of the people you are designing for, you gain insights that you can better frame the problem to be solved, ideate concepts from the findings and quickly build a prototype to test with the user to see if you are on the right path.
The workshops are designed to push people out of their comfort zones and realize that we all have a creative spark inside us - we just need the confidence to acknowledge it and use it.
If you would like to book me for a workshop, lecture or design sprint you can go through my company, Ventuno Design.
